MOREAUVILLE - Funeral services for Rose M. Reason of Moreauville will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 beginning at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Rexmere with Fr. Ramji Shoury officiating. Burial will commence at the St. Michael's Cemetery in Rexmere. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016 beginning at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with rosary prayer at 7:30 p.m. at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville. Visitation will resume Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
Rose M. Reason, age 79, passed away on September 1, 2016 at The Grace Home in Alexandria. She was born on September 2, 1936. Rose was an enduring person and fought until the end. Her love could be described as a firm one, but gentle and kind. She loved dearly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bingo and games at the casino were some of her favorite pass times. She will be missed dearly by friends and family.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Winston and Verdis Brouillette; her husband of 59 years, Alfred “Fred'” Reason; sisters, Dolores Bordelon and Ethel Sellers; and brothers, Stanley Brouillette and Jerry Brouillette.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Deborah (Louie) Brou of Mansura, Paula (Emile) McKay of Hamburg, Karen (Gary) Guillory of Alexandria, Rhonda (Charles Raborn) Kimball of Hessmer; son, Brent (Yalonda) Reason of Moreauville; sisters, Beatrice Dupont of Baton Rouge, Armeade Meyers of New Roads; brother, Gene Brouillette of Cottonport; seven grandchildren: Penny Watson, Casey Walker, Corey Lemoine, Shane Lemoine, Kellie Rabalais, Jessie Reason Blanchard, Brandon Kimball; and 12 great-grandchildren: Joshua Stelly, Mackenzie Stelly, Zachary Lemoine, Carson Lemoine, Abbey Blanchard, Lawrence Hollins, Madison Stelly, Hudson Lemoine, Jordan Lemoine, Dewey Blanchard, Cameron Kimball and Baby Carter Kimball.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Gary Guillory, Louie Brou, Eric Blanchard, Corey Lemoine, Shane Lemoine, and Brandon Kimball. Cross bearer will be Kevin Walker.
