MARKSVILLE - Funeral services for Mr. Frank Lachney will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville with Reverend Keith Lamartiniere officiating. Interment will be at St. Francis DeSales Cemetery in Echo. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mr. Lachney, age 82, of Echo, passed away at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital on Monday, December 5, 2016. He was born of May 19, 1934. Frank was a member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church and was in the logging industry for over 60 years. He was the owner of Lachney Logging.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Billie Ruth Lachney; six brothers; four sisters; one grandson; one granddaughter; one great granddaughter; and his parents, Tanzy and Florine Dauzat Lachney.
Those left to cherish his memory are four sons and their wives Dave (Gwen) Lachney of Center Point, Mike (Jackie) Lachney of Evergreen, Dale (Edna) Lachney of Poland, and Gary (Karen) Lachney of Pineville; one daughter, Brenda Lachney (Rickey) Mills of Hessmer; 2 sisters, Gloria Funderburk of Hessmer and Lillian Deason of Belledeau; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will resume on Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Dave Paul Lachney, Jr., Logan Lachney, Charlie Bryant, Jason Lachney, Rickey Mills and Johnny Rhodes.

Raleigh “Gene” Guillory, Jr., age 44 of Marksville, formally of Hessmer, announces his passing away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Mecca, California.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Brother Eric Descant officiating. Burial will follow in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Marksville.
Gene was a cross country big rig truck driver. When home, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He treasured spending time with his family and friends and will be sadly missed.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Stephanie Denise Sasser Guillory of Marksville, son, Douglas Guillory of Hessmer, parents, Rita Gremillion Guillory and Raleigh J. Guillory, Sr. (Judy Roberts) of Hessmer, and brother, Tony Ducote of Hessmer. Also survived by many loving aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Wilry Roy, Sr. age 82 of Bunkie
Funeral services for Wilry Roy, Sr. of Bunkie will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Amazon Baptist Church in Bunkie with Rev. Theodore Roy officiating. Interment will be in New Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery in Eola. Arrangements are under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary of Pineville.
Visitation will be held at Amazon Baptist Church on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 9 a.m until time of services.
Roy, age 82, passed away on Saturday, November 26, 2016. He was born on April 6, 1934 to the union of Jessie Roy and Mary Roy in Bunkie. Roy was raised in Bunkie and attended school in the Avoyelles Parish school system. He was very well known in the community and he was an very outgoing person.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Lonnie Roy, Darrell Wayne Roy and Keith Roy; seven brothers, Charlie Roy, Cliff Roy, Curtis Roy, Larry Roy, J.C. Roy, Oliver Roy, and Phillip Roy; and five sisters, Lillie Lewis, Dorothy Bradley, Mabel Roy, Willie Hatch and Lillie Wallace.
Wilry leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Wilry Roy, Jr. of Ville Platte and Michael Roy of Bunkie; three daughters, Mary F. Roy of Bunkie, Sandra (Robert) Mays of Bunkie and Vallerie Roy of Bunkie; son, Noel Dixon; daughter, Barbara Dixon; three step-children, Barry Roy, Shaconda Roy and Tiffany Roy; two brothers, Tommy Roy of Cheneyville and James Roy of Houston, Texas; four sisters, Melina Harper of Bunkie, Elvira Phillips of Houston, Texas, Mary King of Houston, Texas, and Linda Guillory of Houston, Texas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Clinton Frazier, Jr., LaDarion Roy, Michael Roy, Curtis Whittington, Quintrakus Roy, Wilmon Byrd, Calvin Lucas and Vondrekel Whittington. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilry Roy, Jr., Tommy Roy and James Roy.
Margaret Elaine Ewing
Funeral services for Ms. Margaret Elaine Ewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Esler Baptist Church, Pineville, Louisiana with the Rev. Mark Breland officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Esler Field Community, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home.
Ms. Ewing, age 80, of Pineville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 9, 2016 in her residence surrounded by her family.
Elaine was a native of Jonesville and she was loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to caring for her family and those that she served during her employment. Elaine retired from Rapides Hospital & Rapides Home Health Agency following 30 years of service as a home health aide and inventory technician. She was a long time member of Esler Baptist Church and her love for the Lord was evident to all that knew her. Elaine's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, camping, gardening, fishing, and attending Blue Grass Festivals with her sisters. Elaine will be dearly missed.
Ms. Ewing is preceded in death by her Husband of 61 years, Eldon Ewing; her son, Eldon DeWayne Ewing, Sr. and her granddaughter, Catina Ewing.

Billy Ray Gagnard, age 62, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Dubuis Hospital in Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nordine Gagnard; daughter, Angel Gagnard; brother, Calvin Cooper.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Veronica Gagnard of Cottonport; daughters, Nordean Gagnard (Michael McMullen) of Deville and Elizabeth Dauzat (Harold, Jr.) of Ville Platte; father, Acy Cooper, Sr. (Dean) of Bordelonville; sister, Carrie Grundy of Mansura; brothers, Acy Cooper, Jr. (Marla) and Anthony Juneau (Ruby) both of Venice. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Connor, Ashton, Hayden, Branden, Abigail, & Caylen; and a host of nieces & nephews.

Billy was a jack of all trades, master of none kind of guy. He was a hardworking farmer, handyman, and mechanic. He enjoyed piddling around and fixing lawnmowers for many people. While employed at the Bayou Express in Cottonport, he became known as ''Billy Bob'' to many. In his spare time, he enjoyed duck hunting, but especially enjoyed his time with his kids and grand kids.

Terry Voiselle, age 66, passed away on the morning of Saturday, December 10, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar Joseph & Doris Mae Voiselle. He is survived by his sons, Todd Voiselle (Paulette) and Johnny Voiselle (Heather Reeves), both of Simmesport; grandchildren, Amber, Tyler, Jacob, John Terrell, Kolton, Joseph, & Jude; sisters, Joan Cashio (Sammy) and Janet Thevis, both of Smmesport.

Mrs. Gauthier, age 65, of Marksville, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Grace Home in Alexandria. She was born on June 6, 1951. She was an LPN for 45 years having worked the majority of those years for Dr. Bryan McCann. Mrs. “Flo” was a Eucharistic Minister and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church whose hobbies included crocheting, painting, flower gardening, shopping, but most of all she loved spending time with her granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Francis and Geraldine Moreau Guichard.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 45 years, Ronald Gauthier of Marksville; two sons, Brady (Angela) Gauthier of Marksville, Jason (Celeste) Gauthier of Marksville; one sister, JoAnn Rachal of Hamburg; two grandchildren, Hannah Gauthier of Marksville and Sadie Gauthier of Marksville.
