Funeral services for Mr. Harold McGlothlin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana. Interment will follow in Bay Springs Cemetery, Chopin, LA under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Louisiana.
Harold McGlothlin, age 84, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at his residence.
Harold was a native of Central LA. He was very proud to serve his country as a U.S. Marine, Semper Fi, and was proud to be an American; always flying his American flag. He was a very loyal & devoted husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, camping & gardening. He & his wife enjoyed dancing & vacationing with their friends. Harold was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Mr. McGlothlin is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest & Della McGlothlin; his sisters, Myrtle Kegley & Edna McKinley; his brothers, Elmo McGlothlin, Earnest McGlothlin, Willard McGlothlin & Johnny McGlothlin.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 56 years, Ethel Lee Dupuy McGlothlin of Alexandria; his daughters, Sharon Haddix (Jeff) of Alexandria, Martha Owen (Bill) of Tioga & Carolyn Longoria (Bill) of Bunkie; his sons, H. Mitchell McGlothlin of Alexandria & David McGlothlin of Alexandria; his sister, Catherine Guin of Ball; his brother, A.B. McGlothlin of Texas; 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Angie, Steven, Kristen, Lucky, Andrew & Michelle and 14 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Mitchell McGlothlin, David McGlothlin, Bill Longoria, Bill Owen, Lucky Haddix & Andrew Cogbill.
Visitation will be at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, Friday, September 30, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. & will resume at Rush Funeral Home, Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
