A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Theresa “Sue” Dubroc Bordelon will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marksville. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Mausoleum #2 in Marksville. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville. Mrs. Bordelon, age 87, of Marksville, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Oak Mont Assisted Living Facility in Cocoville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sampson Dubroc, Sr., and Rose Smith Dubroc; her husband, Alton “Bab” Bordelon; son, David Bordelon; brother, Sampson Dubroc, Jr.; and sister, Dorothy Thevenot. Mrs. Sue was a Teacher’s Aide at Marksville Elementary for 20 years and a member of The Catholic Daughters. She loved gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Rodney Bordelon (Jackie) of Lake Charles, Keith Bordelon (Scott) of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Susan Ussery (Donald Gagnard) of Marksville, Debbie Pinac of Marksville; one sister, Rosella Dubroc (Diane) of Metairie, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume on Monday at 8:00 a.m. until shortly before service. A rosary will be recited by The Catholic Daughters on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Robby Lafleur, Beau Bordelon, Todd Ussery, Kyle Wells, Keith Ford, and Jamie Gagnard. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Bordelon and Donald Gagnard.
