Gerald Savage, Sr. passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at his residence. Gerald was a big hearted man, kind, and loving. He was the best husband, dad, son, and brother anyone could ask for. He had a love for deer and squirrel hunting. He was known as a human GPS because he could help anyone find their destination. Everyone who knew Gerald never had a bad thing to say about him. He was a big teddy bear and would give you the shirt off his back. He had a strong love and faith for God and for his family. He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Keith Savage; and grandchild, Abbie Sauer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Janice Savage of Dupont; daughters, Pamela Bordelon of Dupont and Debra Sauer of Ohio; son, Gerald Savage, Jr. of Hessmer; parents, Johnny & Faye Savage; sisters, Brenda Tarpley of Hammond and Tresa Clark of Houston. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael Sauer, Jr., Gabriel Sauer, Aayan Sauer and one on the way.
