A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. David Wayne Dauzat will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Moncla with Father Wade DeCoste officiating. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Moncla. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mr. Dauzat, age 60, of Hickory Hill, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kirby and Effie Bonnette Dauzat; brothers, Darrell Dauzat, Richard Dauzat; sisters, Faye Franks and Eloise Brouillette.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 43 years, Carol Dauzat of Hickory Hill; one son, Chad Dauzat and wife Amy of Hickory Hill; one daughter, Christina Dauzat of Hickory Hill; two brothers, Ronald Dauzat, Farrell Dauzat and wife Judy, all of Hickory Hill; one sister, Lurline Daigrepont of Hickory Hill; four grandchildren, Brett, Alexis, Ethan and Luke.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume at 8:00 a.m. until shortly before funeral service on Wednesday.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m.
