A Mass of Christian Burial for Angela “Gurpy” Maurice Jacobs will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Marksville with Father Abraham Varghese officiating. Interment will be in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Ms. Jacobs, age 41, of Marksville, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Calvin Johnson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Kameron Washington of Marksville, her “special friend”, Glenn Washington; her mother, Carol J. Dominick of Marksville; eleven brothers, Gregory Jacobs of Guam, Jonathan Jacobs of Mansura, Kevin Jacobs of Mansura, Christopher Jacobs of Norfork, VA, Joshua Williams of Bedford, MA., Paul Johnson of Hessmer, Joseph Johnson of Mansura, John Johnson of Mansura, Matthew Johnson of Jacksonville, FL, Mark Johnson of Mansura, Brandon Lachney of Marksville; four sisters, Claire Dorsey of Pensacola, FL, Yulonda Washington of Marksville, Trisha Johnson of Mansura and Paulisha Johnson of Mansura; numerous nieces and nephews as well as one great nephew.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. until shortly before service.
