Billy Ray Jeansonne, age 63 of Moreauville, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest, Sr. & Florence Broussard Jeansonne; sisters, Ethel J. Sabbagh & Ruth J. Maddie.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Carol Plauche Jeansonne of Moreauville; his daughter, Lauren Jeansonne of Lafayette; & his brother, Forrest Jeansonne, Jr. (Joanna B.) of Longbridge.
Billy graduated from USL in 1976 double majoring in business finance and criminal justice. He worked for Angola State Prison for close to 30 years as a supervisor/director of classifications and serving on the parole board as a liaison for the prisoners. In his spare time, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
